Training for 1st & 2nd year basketball is on this Friday at 1.30. The games are next Wednesday, Jan 29th, in Portarlington. The bus leaves at 11am. Back in school for 3pm.

TY Trip to Taster day in UL

The bus will depart for UL @8 am sharp on Tuesday Dec 3rd,€5 for bus will be collected @7:45. Students must wear full uniform and impeccable behavior is expected from all! Please take note (on school App ) the schedule of lectures which students can attend throughout the day. It is the responsibility of each student to make the most of the TY “taster” day and I expect a detailed report on return to school.
The marking of Best Work Portfolios and Journals is ongoing and students should have both in school every day.
Finally, students should ask work place mentors to fill in an Employer Report Form ASAP. This should then appear in the Best Work Portfolio for examination by myself and Ms. O’Connell.
N.B. Closing date for Engineering TY course for IT Carlow closes on 11th December. Also below is a poster for The Step into Space TY programme and the application is due on Monday.... see www.bit.ly/TYspace

On Tuesday 3rd December, our Senior Basketball team are in the Regional final vs Colaiste Iosagain @ 1:45pm in St. Marys Hall.
Supporters will be leaving class at 12:50pm to grab their lunch and to walk down to the hall. Please see the supporters list below!

When student is being collected from school

A reminder to parents that if their son must leave school and sign out during the day, they MUST have a note to show their teacher excusing them to leave. Office/reception staff cannot be expected to go looking for students when the student doesn't come down to sign out. Many students sign out every day and our secretaries are regularly walking around looking for students who should have a note to excuse themselves from class without this unnecessary waste of time. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Monday 27th January is a day off for students as teachers in many Laois schools are having a JCT training day in their subject areas. Both Scoil Chriost Ri and the CBS are closed for the day and reopen on Tuesday. Thank you.
