We had an uplifting and unique 90 minutes with the hugely successful and influential Psychology Performance Consultant Gerry Hussey this evening. The evening benefitted parents, students and teachers alike.
Gerry imparts many positive and life-affirming lessons in relation to success and achievement; the chief being that we each must find our best self and recognize our respective strengths and capabilities. Shed the negative voice and “train the brain” to be kind to both ourselves and others. Mind over Matter. Mind becomes Matter.
Gerry is speaking again in St. Jarlath’s College tomorrow evening at 7pm. Calling all parents, students and teachers: do not miss! Thanks to Mr Carney who was MC,Ms Feerick for coordinating, Fintan Higgins for sound and our wonderful students for their involvement!

First Year students will be given their rental books and journal and will have their lockers assigned on Monday, starting at 12pm until 1pm. No uniform is required . Uniform is required from Tuesday morning and First Year induction will start at 9:30am. First years will be finished at 1pm on Tuesday. The school canteen will be open at small break and lunchtime from Wednesday.
Junior and Leaving Cert students start back on Thursday. Second and Fifth year students start back on Friday.

CAO Information Evening

The Guidance Counsellor, Ms. Ruane, will give a presentation for parents on applying to the CAO and further education and training at 6pm immediately after the Leaving Certificate parent teacher meeting tomorrow, in the guest speakers speakers room. This is a highly worthwhile presentation and it is most important that you attend. The guest speakers room is located on the top floor, accessed via the stairway inside the main entrance door.

We would like to wish all our Leaving Cert class of 2018 the very best of luck this Wednesday! The school will be open from
9.15 am where we look forward to welcoming you back to receive your results. Parents / guardians are most welcome also.
Although you have graduated, we will be on hand on the day and in the days and weeks to come to support and advise you as part of the SJC community!
While the Leaving Cert exam is the most significant exam in your life so far remember it is in no way a measure of your worth as a person.
For anyone who might be disappointed please remember also there are many, many opportunities to pursue your chosen career or course. There is always a way to achieve your dreams.
We hope to see you all on Wednesday!
