The recent school trip to Berlin was a perfectly planned adventure that left everyone with cherished memories.
From visiting Sachsenhausen, a powerful reminder of World War II atrocities, to stumbling upon an interesting protest at the Brandenburg Gate, each day was filled with excitement.
The lovely hotel and delightful continental breakfast buffet set a positive tone each morning.
The fascinating Computerspiele Museum and Spy Museum captured everyone's attention.
The freedom of exploring Berlin on scooters and public transport was a highlight, along with experiencing iconic sites like Checkpoint Charlie and the Reichstag.
The Mall of Berlin offered a great shopping experience, while the TV tower provided stunning views. The visit to Tropical Island added a fun twist.
The trip was a resounding success, creating lasting memories and anticipation for future adventures.

During Mid-Term Break, a group of 69 2nd Year students were accompanied by seven teachers on their Ski Tour to Bormio, Italy. They had a wonderful time skiing the slopes of The Alps and spending the week with their friends!
Well done to the boys for their enthusiasm and good spirits in learning this new skill. They worked hard adjusting to the skis in the first few days and this great effort paid-off, as they were able to explore new parts of the mountain in the latter stage of the week.
A special mention to our advanced group of 'seasoned skiers' who regularly skied the Cima Blanca Piste which has the longest descent in the whole of Italy! This piste runs from top to bottom of Bormio and with a vertical drop of 1800m from an altitude of 3000m, it is twice the height of Lugnaquilla!
The group stayed in Hotel Cepina where we were served a beautiful four course meal each evening and experienced real Italian food! We spent Monday evening in Bormio Terme and the boys had great fun swimming in these thermal pools overlooked by the snowy mountains. Later in the week, the group enjoyed an evening in Bormio where the boys went ice-skating and had a meal in a local Pizzaria.
The behaviour and attitude from the boys was exemplary throughout and this made the trip an enjoyable and pleasant experience for all. It is a privilege to be able to offer so many students such a memorable experience and hopefully the boys also appreciate the effort made by their parents in securing a place for them on the ski trip.
Thank you to Ms. M. Murphy, Ms. Masterson, Ms. Fleming, Ms. Lonergan, Ms. C. O’Brien, Mr. Fitzgibbon and Mr. McGuinness who travelled with and looked after the boys during the week. The feedback from students and parents has been hugely positive; the opportunity afforded to the boys to travel on a ski trip is very much appreciated.
Please follow the link below to view photos and videos from the ski trip. Thanks to the teachers for taking photos and videos during the week to capture these memories for the boys.
