Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s), There have been a number of issues with VSware over the past few days and this is ongoing. Vsware have informed us that they are looking into the cause of the slowdown 502/503 errors at highest priority. Unfortunately it looks like the issue is linked to a global issue with multiple major websites affected. For this reason we will not be able to issue summer reports this week. We will text parents as soon as reports are available. 1st, 2nd, TY & 5th Year reports will be available through VSware, hopefully early next week. 3rd Year students will receive a Junior Cycle report and this will be posted to parents next week. Thank you for your understanding.

Dear all, Fr. William Stuart, a past pupil of Belgrove school, is now running a small school in Tyre, South Lebanon for street children who are refugees from the Syrian war. They have 157 pupils and run two school sessions each day, in the afternoon and early evening, as many of the pupils work during the mornings. They plant and harvest fruit and vegetables, others are literally on the streets selling tissues, chewing gum and fresh herbs. They all live in tents which are wet and cold in the winter and unbearably hot in the summer. Fr William is looking for clothing for boys and girls aged between 3 and 16 including shoes (tied together with a label indicating size); hats and scarfs; towels and underwear. Heavy winter clothing is not suitable. Personal toiletries are also very welcome, such as soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, hair brushes, sponges, sanitary towels and other personal hygiene materials. It would be very helpful if the items could be boxed and labelled according to item, age and gender (e.g. trousers, age 6/7, boys). Items can be left in St John’s parish centre (to the side of the church), on Saturday 19th and Saturday 26th June, between 9.30 and 11.30 am. For further details please contact Deirdre on 087 2057650. Thank you for your support.

I hope all of candidates starting the written exams tomorrow are in good health and not too anxious about the next few weeks. It is important that candidates are in school tomorrow at 9.00am, 30 minutes before the start of the English exam and 15 minutes before the start of future exams. Attendance may be unpredictable and the school will not be contacting anyone who does not present for an exam. it is imperative that candidates are familiar with the exam timetable and the starting times. Candidates are required to wear masks at all times and follow guidelines regarding distancing and hygiene. To ensure the sustainability of the exams, no candidates should come to school if ill. If any candidate does show Covid 19 symptoms, they should contact their doctor immediately. Wishing parents and candidates all the best of luck and hope the exams all go well.
