Dear Parents/ Guardians/ Students, Firstly I want to wish you all a happy New Year and I hope you and your family had a restful break over the Christmas. As I am sure you are already aware, schools will not open until Jan 31st. Leaving Certs will however be in school three days a week and we will be in further contact with you about this. Given todays announcements that schools are to remain closed until at least Jan 31st we must now return to online learning platforms from Monday 11th Jan. It is very important that all students engage fully with this process from the beginning so that no time is lost. We realise that this is not an ideal situation for anyone but hopefully we will be back to school soon. Subject teachers will communicate with students primarily through Google Classroom. This requires a school email in the format 20jbloggs@staugustines.ie. If students are having difficulty logging into their accounts they can email Mr Kavanagh at classroom@staugustines.ie for assistance. The school will be open tomorrow morning from 10 until 1 and also on Friday from 10 to 1 should anyone need to access to any books that they may have left in school before Christmas. Arrangements will also be made to collect books next week. Further details will follow. There is now a buzzer system on the front door to gain entry. If the door is locked please ring the buzzer which will put you through to the office. Kind regards, Michael O Sullivan Principal
