County Colours Day

To celebrate the occasion of Waterford being in the All Ireland hurling final on Sunday, we are having a blue and white colours day this Friday. All pupils and teachers are asked to wear the county colours with pride and hopefully cheer on the lads to victory on Sunday. All 1st year pupils who would like to take part in a giant GAA training session on Friday are asked to bring blue/white playing gear including a hurley and helmet to school on Friday. This training session will take place during last 3 classes on the school GAA pitches. More details in school....

The 1st year Makeup Master Class is postponed, however, we are hoping to hold it after Christmas. Our raffle will take place. The Hamper includes; Bperfect Makeup Manifest Palette, lashes, eyeshadow priming base, mascara Sosu lashes A selection of sweets and chocolate And a cosmetic bag All together the hamper is worth €80 And raffle tickets are €2 a strip or 3 €5 (Adrien Racz, Lily Power, Ebony Ronayne, Alanah Maher)

The staff of the Naíonra in Scoil Gharbháin are calling on all those with sewing skills and sewing machines to help out with the making of face masks if you can spare your time. All material etc will be provided. Please call to Ms McCloskey if you are interested and she will provide you with more details.

Excitement building!!!! Waterford GAA Supporters wishing their teacher Mr O Brien the very best of luck in the upcoming All Ireland Senior Hurling Final. While we may not be able to travel to Croke Park we will all be supporting the Deise from our sitting rooms !

Transition year students Emma Dower and Keira Salmon are holding a raffle in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. There are two separate raffles one main raffle and a student raffle. The main raffle ticket price is €5 for one ticket and 3 tickets for €10. The student raffle is €2 for a ticket and 3 tickets for €5. Each raffle has over 20 prizes each which includes hampers and vouchers. They will be selling tickets at the farmers market every Thursday until the 11th of December and will be going around to class rooms next week if students or teachers would like to buy a ticket for a great cause, if parents want to buy tickets you can get your son/daughter to give us the money to buy a ticket. TY students putting up the Jesse Tree in St Monica’s Church. The Jesse Tree is a decorative tree used during Advent to retell the stories of the Bible that lead to Jesus’s birth. Since Advent is a season of waiting, a Jesse Tree will help to build joy and anticipation as we wait for Christmas.
