We noticed a lack of school training gear for all sports teams so we created Friary training jerseys using the school colours (black and red) and our own logo. The jerseys are being supplied by Bodibro,a well respected and quality brand. The jerseys will cost €35 buying online could cost you €70. You can order a jersey by going to our instagram @friarytrainingjerseys or approaching Ben Buckley, Eoin Veale or Brian Fox in school. The jerseys must be paid for by Tuesday the 17th of November to have the jerseys by the christmas holidays. Orders after that will not be here by Christmas.

Our mini company will be selling crewnecks with a crest we think fits the friary school. The crew necks are €40 to buy they come in kids, ladies and men sizes (for size guide check out instagram page!). The crewnecks are manufactured from Azzuri and are GREAT quality. You are able to get your initials on the crewnecks with no extra cost! We will be holding a draw for everyone who purchases a crewneck they will be in for the chance to win their ordered crewneck for free. We will be coming round to pods at lunch to collect money. Take a bow TYs well done for taking the time and effort to write letters to the residents in CareChoice they were very well received. The manager phoned the school to express their gratitude and you all got a mention in the local papers this week.

You can have a gorgeous loaf of homemade bread on the table in about an hour, from start to finish our TYs proved it today as part of their cookery module with Ms Joy. Life skill !
Road Safety Module

As part of their Road Safety module with Mr Michael McGrath students learned about essential car maintenance. Today they enjoyed a practical demonstration. They learned how to check tyre thread depth, coolant level, oil level, windscreen washer fluid level, brake fluid level and battery terminals for corrosion.
November We Remember

A beautiful remembrance tree was placed by Ms McGrath in St Monica’s Church. Students & staff are invited to choose a heart and sign the names of our loved ones that we wish to remember. The hearts can then be placed on the remembrance tree. Today we pray for Rían French (RIP) on his 1st anniversary. Students placed a wreath in the school memorial garden.

Garda Aidan McCarthy (Juvenile Liaison Officer) visited our school. He spoke to students about cyber-bullying, the legal implications of taking photos and /or recordings and posting on social media sites. He discussed how nothing is ever deleted once it’s posted on the internet!
