Rowing Success!
Forty three students from a range of year groups travelled to the Regional Sports Complex yesterday morning to compete in the Indoor Schools Sligo Rowing Blitz. The students had an excellent day out with many students getting the opportunity to experience rowing for the first time. We hope this has now inspired them to continue rowing and get involved in future rowing events.
Congratulations to Sarah Walsh in 5th year who placed first in the U18 category and her sister Claire Walsh in 2nd year who placed first in the U14 category. A big congratulations to the two teams who also placed first in the relay events, in the U14 girls relay the team consisted of: Claire Walsh, Megan McDermott, Kayla Scanlon and Grace Hegarty. The first years were out this moring in frosty conditions completing fitness tests as part of their Health Related Fitness module for PE.
They all put in a great effort and will now be looking to improve their scores in two weeks time!

Thank you.
Our U14 girls got off to a flying start yesterday in sunny but freezing Castlebar where they took on Davitt College. The girls started off very well taking the first score of the game. This was followed closely by Davitt College leading to a very tight game overall. In the final quarter of the game Davitt College managed to take the lead for the first time and crept ahead by two points. Unfortunately for Coláiste Muire they just couldn't pull it back despite having two goal chances in the final few minutes. A very good game of football and Ms O Malley and Ms Casey are very excited to see what the season ahead has in store for this U14 team. Well done to all involved!
