Many thanks to our friends from the IRFU, the Aviva Stadium and Lansdowne Rugby on the proud occasion of the presentation of the match ball (signed) from the Ireland-New Zealand game in November where Ireland beat the All-Blacks for the first time in Ireland, 16-9. Our thanks to all the players for the fantastic sporting spectacle on the day. Pictured here are our Principal and Marian College rugby coaches.

Congratulations to Past-Pupil Ray O’Neill on organising an environmental awareness event in Dublin on Monday Dec. 17th. Over 350 people were in attendance in the Sugar Club to hear former Irish president and UN Special Envoy on Climate Change give an inspirational talk on the urgent need for action at the individual, local and national levels to create a sustainable future world. Mary even signed a copy of her new book for Marian College.

Well done to the Student Council for a fantastic 'Shave or Dye' event. Huge thanks to the choir, Ms McCarthy, Ms McDowell and Ms Lee. Thanks to all for your generous donations. We welcomed Finian from SVP and Garda Anthony Kelly, Community Liaison Officer. Santa presented Pauline and James with gifts to mark 20 years of service to Marian College.

Congratulations to Pawel Konkol, Liam Mendes and Artur Bancila who each won an Apple Macbook laptop for their hard work, commitment and creativity in this year's Twitter Coderdojo.  A group of 25 Marian College pupils attended Twitter in order to learn code from September 2017 to May 2018. The pupils then went on to present their finished products be it an app, website or game. The coderdojo continues this Saturday and any new pupils who wish to sign up for September 2019, please see Mr. Lindsay.

Our first ever musical matinee is well underway. We welcome primary students from our local feeder schools. Tickets are still available for Thursday and Friday night but get them early to avoid disappointment!

Pictured is part of the amazing set designed by the talented Tara Fahey, our Art teacher. We welcome 4th, 5th and 6th classes from our surrounding feeder schools to the production.
