Coderdojo Twitter Workshop

Marian College kicked off their first coderdojo workshop on the last Saturday of October. This year's group has expanded to 35 pupils. The aim of the workshop is to complete a fully functional website or game by May 2018, when pupils will present their work in school. June will see the annual Coderdojo event held in the RDS. 15,000 people will attend and the best of Marian College's coders will be too, showcasing their work.

This years event will take place on Friday the 24/11/17 in Lansdowne Rugby Club . Smart casual dress code €50 fee. Registration is 6 pm and dinner at 7pm Sharp . Pass the word to all your friends order forms available by emailing Marianppuxmas@ gmail.com

Tickets are now available for the annual school musical which takes place this Wed, Thur and Fri Nov. 15th - 17th. Tickets can be secured from Mr. Harding or by calling the school office on 01-6684036. The Musical starts at 8pm sharp. Best of luck to the cast, crew and all involved in this production.

Congratulations to Dorian Dederko and Dean Gleeson of 6th Year on having their science project accepted to the final round of the Young Scientists Exhibition. Fingers crossed for greater success at the competition.

Congratulation to Lorcan Tighe on winning the Rolex Fastnet yachting race with his crew. Lorcan has a very promising future in sailing.

Following an inspection of the school building and grounds the school is safe to reopen tomorrow Wed. Oct 18th with classes for all students!

Following further instructions from the Department of Education Marian College will remain closed tomorrow Tuesday Oct. 17th. At present the Champions Leagues trip is still going ahead. Keep an eye on the App and Website for further developments.

The Champions League Trip scheduled for Tuesday October 17th is going ahead. Pupils going on the trip should be at the school entrance at 5.45am sharp. Keep an eye on the school website for updates.
