Unfortunately the team ran out of steam in the second half and couldn't maintain their second quarter momentum. It was a good improvement by the team who are getting better with each game.

Our school's senior Gaelic Football team had a fantastic 3-9 to 0-7 win over Coláiste Chiarán of Leixslip today to advance to another Dublin final. Played in wet conditions the Marian boys battled hard and, despite losing influential defender Jay Murphy to a bad hand injury in the first half, went on to win the game in the second half in some style. The teams goals were scored by Darragh Murphy, Kevin Albu and Paul Fox. The squad have played with tremendous passion and discipline all year and have been a credit to the school.

The lab there is well kitted out and PHD physics students were on hand to guide our leaving cert students through each practical. The trip was 3/4 funded by Intel and consequently only cost €10 a head. Well done to our guys who really made the most of a great opportunity.

The team was unlucky then to lose two close games to Pres Bray and St. Benildus but the team is showing good improvement over the course of their games.
