Dear Parents. The annual general meeting of the Dominican College Parents' Association will take place on Wednesday 4th October at 8pm in the school. Tea and coffee will be served from 7:30pm.

REMINDER: Any students who wish to have any of their Junior Cert subjects re-marked must bring in an envelope to Mr. Kinsella containing the name of the subject/s for re-marking along with €32 per subject no later than Thursday 21st September.
Gaisce Awards Presentation

Congratulations to all our 5th Year students who were presented with their Gaisce (President's Award) Bronze Medals and certificates today. The girls engaged in a wide range of activities in order to achieve this award including helping out with Homework Club; taking up computer coding; learning piano, ballet, Irish dancing and first aid; hiking and camping. The achievement of this award required commitment and determination on the part of all the girls. Many thanks also to Ms. Carroll and Ms. Craddock who worked with the girls to help them achieve this award.
Junior Cert Re-marks

If any student wishes to have one or more of her Junior Certificate exams re-marked, she should bring in an envelope to Mr. Kinsella, with her name and the list of the relevant subjects written on the front, along with €32 per exam in the envelope. This should be given to Mr. Kinsella no later than Thursday 21st September.

Congratulations to our new Head Girl, Eabha Ni Chonlain and Deputy Head Girl, Siobhan Beatty, on their recent appointments. We wish both girls every success during their term and have no doubt that they will continue to be a credit to themselves and the school.
Debating Club

A debate meeting will take place, tomorrow, at lunchtime in Room 9. Anyone interested in joining the debate club should attend and everyone is welcome.
BT Young Scientists' Competition

This is a reminder to any students who wish to enter the BT Young Scientist Competition to email Ms. Fallon and Ms. King with your ideas for the competition as the deadline for entries is fast approaching. A letter explaining the entry process is on the Science Notice Board beside Mr. O'Doherty's office and any student who is interested in entering should take a copy of this letter.
