World Book Day

World Book Day will be celebrated on Thursday 2nd March. To mark the event, at 11:50am on that day all students in the school will be given the opportunity to read a novel for the class period. If anyone is looking for ideas for a good book why not check out the Red Read wall on the ground floor to see the 2nd Year students' recommendations.
Stress Management Workshops for 6th Year Students

We will host two stress management workshops for 6th Year students on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th March. These will take place from 3:30pm to 5:30pm each day and will cost €5 per student. More information to follow after the mid-term break.
Computer Game Design Workshop

Tickets for the gaming workshop taking place on Saturday 11th March will be on sale in the Boardroom from 8:30am - 9am on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th March. Students of Dominican College will get the tickets at a concessionary price of €15. The workshop is being hosted by award winning computer game designer, Brenda Romero and is aimed at students interested in computer game development. Brenda is actively involved in game design and development and also lectures on this area in the University of Limerick.

Congratulations to our U17 soccer team and their coach Mr. Drea who beat St. Columba's Comprehensive School, Donegal 5-0 in the All-Ireland semi-final today.

We all wish our U17 soccer team the very best of luck in their All-Ireland semi-final tomorrow against Carndonagh Community School. The match will take place in Sligo.

CAO Closing Date: 1st February 2017 @ 5:15pm UCAS Closing Date: 15th January 2017 (late applications can be made up until 30th June 2017) HPAT Admission Test for all Medicine courses in Ireland: Registration closes on 20th January 2017 @ 5:15pm. The test will take place on 25th February 2017.
