TY WOMEN’S HISTORY PROJECT 1916-2016. OUR SCHOOL HAS BEEN SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ABOVE PROJECT ON WEDNESDAY 14TH OF DECEMBER IN THE NATIONAL IRISH LIBRARY IN DUBLIN. THIS EVENT WILL INVOLVE THREE OTHER SCHOOLS : URSULINE, WATERFORD, LORETTO ON THE GREEN AND CASTLEBLAYNEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE, MONAGHAN. ON THE DAY THERE WILL BE TWO, TEN MINUTE PRESENTATIONS GIVEN BY OUR STUDENTS ON A WOMAN INVOLVED IN THE 1916 RISING AND AN INSPIRATIONAL MODERN IRISH WOMAN. SINCE OCTOBER ALL TY HISTORY CLASS GROUPS HAVE WORKED ON THIS PROJECT. , UNFORTUNATELY ONLY SIX STUDENTS CAN REPRESENT THE SCHOOL DESPITE THE GREAT WORK DONE BY MANY STUDENTS. THE SIX STUDENTS SELECTED TO REPRESENT THE SCHOOL ARE AINE BARRY, REBECCA O’KEEFFE, IVAN O’NEILL, LORNA FOLEY, MARK O’NEILL AND AINE REILLY.

300 Scoil... 30,000 dalta... Is í aidhm an dúshláin seo ná daoine óga a spreagadh chun labhairt as Gaeilge amháin ar feadh 24 uair a chloig. The aim of Conradh na Gaeilge challenge is to encourage young people to speak Irish for one day- 24 hours. the challenge will help to open the minds of students and allow them to experience the Irish language in a unique and positive way. The class 1A took part in a very suucessful event last Thursday. They made a conscious effort to promote the Irish language for the day by speaking it, taking part in Irish song and dance along with a Tráth na gCeist. Comhghairdeas libh.Beatha teanga í a labhairt.

Congratulations to the Senior hurling team on their 5 -10 to 0 - 11 win over High School Clonmel today The Harty hurlers got their campaign off to a great start last Wednesday in Ballybacon versus High School Clonmel.With the full back line rock solid throughout,Clonmel found it hard to break our defence down.Up front the trio of Gavin Dalton,Tom Barron & Darragh Buckley were causing problems.We won on a healthy scoreline of 5.10 to 11.Next up is Castletroy with both teams now advancing to a last 16 tie.Keep it up &well done lads.
