Today, Thursday, March 20th, our Leaving Certificate Physical Education students took part in the filming of their Performance Assessment Project at the Hawkfield GAA Centre of Excellence. This important component of their assessment, worth 30% of their final PE grade and requires students to demonstrate their skills, technique, and understanding of key training methods.
Throughout the session, students showcased exceptional ability in interval training and circuit training, performing a variety of exercises with precision and determination. Their dedication and hard work were evident in every drill, highlighting their commitment to both their personal fitness and the academic requirements of the subject.
A huge well done to all the students for their outstanding performances and efforts in preparing for this assessment. Their enthusiasm and professionalism truly reflected the high standards of our school’s Physical Education program.
Best of luck to everyone as they continue their Leaving Certificate journey!

I rith na seachtaine, bhíomar ag ceilliúradh Seachtain na Gaeilge i Méanscoil an Teaghlaigh Naofa. Bhí go leor imeachtaí ar siúl, ina measc, amhránaíocht, céilí, tráth na gcéist, agus cluichí mar Amhrán na gCupán agus Biongó. Tá súil againn gur bhain na daltaí taitneamh as na himeachtaí ar fad.
Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh go léir.
During the week, we celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge in Holy Family Secondary School. We had a range of activities taking place, amongst them, singing, dancing, a table quiz, and games like the Cup Song and Bingo. We hope the students enjoyed themselves.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you all.
As part of the process of trying to gain an Active Schools flag, the school must set up a school walkway where learning on the move can take place. During lunchtimes each day this week the TY Active Schools class ran a competition with daily prizes that will help all students familiarise themselves with the location of each station.
Yesterday to celebrate Pi-Day, 16 students (4 teams) represented our School in the Annual Pi- Quiz held in Naas Community College.
