We have just received word that there will be no canteen facilities in school today, Monday February 8th. We will allow students who do not have lunch with them to go down town for lunch. Apologies for any inconvenience.

The first years had a close game but came out on top 14-12. Top scorers John Cooney 6 points, Ciarán Connaughton 4 points! The second year team had an impressive win 43-2. Several players played very well, Top scorers John Maughan 12 points, Ryan Kellehan 6 points. Well done to both teams! Both teams now qualify for the West Semi Final with another league game left to play against Coláiste na Coirbe next Thursday.

Congrats to everyone who took part in the South Connachts Cross Country today in St Mary's in very difficult conditions. Several athletes have qualified for Connachts in Sligo Racecourse.

Yesterday, the Senior 1 LCVP class presented the money raised from the teacher-student volleyball match to Justin McDermott from Jigsaw, Galway. Justin addressed students on mental health and the assistance Jigsaw can offer to young people suffering from mental health issues.

Both first and second year teams had comprehensives wins over Colaiste an Eachraidh today. 1st year team won 26-16. Top scorers Ciaran connaughton 7 points, Stephen O'Halloran 6 points and Eoin Kinsella 5 points. The second years won 35-4, top scorers Evan Cox 8 points, Adam Cunney 8 points, Mark O'Reagan 8 points. Well done to all involved. Next match Friday 5th February against Galway Community College.
