Thank you to everyone who took part in yesterday's Green Schools Action Day and in particular thank you to the committee members and TY's for assisting us on the day. Everyone enjoyed a fun filled day with many prizes been awarded. Let's all work as a team to reduce and minimise the amount of waste in St. Raphael's College whilst establishing a greener school.
2nd year Basketball team progress to West Final!

The second year basketball team progressed to the West final today with a hard fought battle against Dunmore. The West final will take place on April 6th in NUIG. Final score, St Raphaels 34, Dunmore 22. Top scorers: Adam Cunny 11 points Robert Connaire 6 points Evan Cox 5 points John Maughan, Cathal Bryan and Mark O'Reagan 4 points Well done to all players

Holy Hour in the Abbey

Pupils from St. Raphael's will be leading the prayers and hymns at the holy hour in the Abbey church on Thursday next, March 3rd from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. All pupils and parents very welcome.
Connacht Senior Hurling Champions

Congratulations to the senior hurling team on an excellent victory in the Connacht Colleges final on Saturday. They defeated St.Cuan's by 3-13 to 0-13. The All Ireland semi final takes place in two weeks time.
Green Schools Expo

The Green Schools Committee along with some of the TY students attended the Green Schools Expo in the RDS today. An enjoyable day was had by all and we come away with some useful ideas on how we as a school can tackle our Litter and Waste problem and achieve our first Green Flag.
Senior Hurling Semi-Final

Well done to the senior hurlers on winning their semi- final yesterday .defeating the Bish 1-18 to 1-15. The connacht final will be played against St. Cuans this Saturday 27th at 2.00 O'Clock in Duggan Park Ballinasloe.

Seachtain na Gaeilge will take place in the school between the 7th and 16th of March. Several activities have been organised including Ceilí's and Tráth na gCeist. Please check the calendar for further details. The school has received a limited number of vouchers for a few different Gaeltachts. If you are interested, and have not already booked the Gaeltacht, please give your name to your Irish Teacher. The vouchers will be raffled off next Wednesday March 2nd to anyone interested. Vouchers available for: Coláiste na nOiléan, Coláiste Chonnacht Coláiste Cholumba
