Wednesday is Lá Glas and the Green Schools Committee are encouraging everyone to wear green on that day instead of their normal school uniform. The money raised on the day will be donated to Trocaire's Lenten Campaign and the Green-Schools Project.
Taylor’s Debaters Sweep the Board at the West of Ireland Debating Finals

Well done to the Taylor’s debaters who swept the board at the West of Ireland Schools’ Debating final in NUIG. TY student Aoife Burke won the Best Individual Debater title while 6th Year students Etornam Glavee and Laura Murray won the Best Team title. The girls will now take part in the upcoming All-Ireland Schools’ Debating final.

Ruth Concannon, Children's Book Manager in Charlie Byrne's Bookshop, will speak to all 2nd Year Students today. As the girls are doing the DEAR program the talk will focus on recommended reading and the "16 books to read before you're 16".

This year's Taylor's Talents Show will take place on Tuesday 15th March for one night only. Tickets on sale from Wednesday 8th March - adults: €10 and students €7.

Mar is eol daoibh tá Coicís na Gaeilge faoi lán seoil agus tá roinnt imeachtaí á n-eagrú i gColáiste San Doiminic don tseachtain speisialta seo. Ina measc tá 'Plé agus Tae' do lucht na hArdteiste, Comórtais Póstaeir agus Seanfhocail, 'Tráth na gCeist', agus 'Céilí Mór' Dé hAoine seo chugainn. Beidh Lá Glas againn i dtaca le 'Clár na Scoileanna Glasa' ar an gCéadaoin roimh Lá Pádraig. Tá súil againn go bhfuil sibh ag baint taitnimh as agus ná déanaigí dearmad 'Is fearr Gaeilge Bhriste ná Béarla Cliste'.
College Bursary

St. Anthony's & Claddagh Credit Union will be offering a once off College Bursary payment of €1,500 to one Leaving Cert Student from Dominican College who attends a Third Level Institution or G.T.I. in September 2016. A representative from St. Anthony's & Claddagh Credit Union will be visiting our School in April with the Application Forms and will provide information to students regarding the bursary.

On Thursday 3rd March we celebrate World Book Day in Ireland. As part of the celebration 15 of our 2nd Year students will attend a talk by author and past-pupil Catherine Doyle in Charlie Byrne's Bookshop.
