An information evening will be held on Tues April 10th at 7pm for parents of all students going on to do 5th Year in September. This does not include parents of the newly selected TY class for September. The Career Guidance teachers will provide information about the subject options, languages, LCVP and answer all questions parents may have. During Thursday 12th April, the students themselves will attend a similar information assembly where subject teachers will explain their subjects at Senior level as well as their further relevance to careers etc. All students will be given a Subject Choice Form on which all option subjects will be listed. They will be expected to discuss with their parents/guardians what is best for their future, number their choices from first to sixth in decreasing popularity. Parents/guardians must sign this form and it should be submitted to the office or Mr McWey by Wednesday April 18th.. Students who return their forms on time can be fairly sure they will receive at least 2 of the 3 first choices. Students who do not return their form by Friday 20/4, at the very latest, can not expect to receive their first or possibly even their second choice. All choices will be entered into the option program and the option blocks generated during that week. Please FOCUS on YOUR future subject choices THIS week.
