ISTA Junior Cycle Science Quiz
Created : 23 Apr 2023, 9:33 AM
Archived : 23 Jun 2023, 12:00 AM
Ms. Barrett and Ms. Brady took 10 3rd students to the ISTA Junior Cycle Science Quiz held in Castledermot, Co. Kildare on Thursday evening last week. The lads were challenged with some very tough questions on all topics of Science, and not just material from their JC Science course. ‍There were 30 teams in total.
Even though we didn’t come away with top prize, our students still represented our school extremely well. 2 out of our 4 teams won spot prizes for being the first to answer general science questions. There was a tie between 2 of our teams for coming top within our school, but Jack H, Joshua and Daniel won as they argue the spot prize put them over the line! We’re very proud of the students, who were great spokesmen for our school!
️St. Mary’s CBS teams:
Ciaran Donaghue, Cormac Deegan, Jack Blendell
Jack Heffernan, Daniel Maunsell, Joshua Corbett
Harry McGree and Love Omoijade
Andrew Coyne and Oisin Lalor.
Well done all.
