Our Transition Years were fortunate to spend a couple of hours with film and stage actor Robert Sheehan last Thursday 28th September. Best known for his work in “Love/Hate” and “ Misfits” he was very generous with his time and patient in responding to questions as he posed for relentless selfies and photos. Thank you Robert. The two day Healthy Lifestyle programme , introduced for the first time by our new Coordinator, went down very well with the T.Y. boys. The emphasis was on nutrition, mindfulness, team bonding and included a number of team sports for example” The Hunter Games”. The yellow team, captained by Adam Duffin, was awarded some well deserved silver , whilst others received individual medals for their efforts . Thanks to all teachers, particularly in our Sports Department for facilitating the above. Dates to note: Sports nutrition talk by Gavin Hennigan on Monday 9th Oct. 2017 Visit to Skill Zone in Sandyford on Tuesday 10th Oct. 2017 The “Drive for Life “ programme is on Tuesday 17th Oct. And Friday 20th Oct. 2017. Half of T.Y. visit the RACE academy in Kildare, and on to Kildangan Stud on Tuesday Oct. 24th, whilst the other group will hike with Mr. Dooley in the Slieve Bloom.
