The ASTI have suspended their strike action so school will resume as normal from 9am tomorrow for all students.

The Board of Management regrets to inform parents that the school cannot open in the morning (Wed., Nov. 9th) or until further notice due to health and safety concerns which could arise without adequate supervision and substitution in place. We are sorry for this continued inconvenience to all concerned.

As the talks between the ASTI and the Department of Education and Skills have seen no breakthrough, the Board wishes to confirm that the school will not be opened on Monday 7th November for students.
Soccer Blitz and Halloween Party

On Friday 28th October, 2nd and 3rd year students can attend a Basketball and Soccer Blitz organised by our Treoiri Team throughout the morning. The cost for this event is €2 and can be paid to the Treoiri members as they come to classes this week. Also on that day, our Meithil Team are organising a Halloween Party for our 1st year students from 11.15-1.15. Meithil members will collect €1 during the week from those wishing to attend.
Mock Examinations Payments

Mock examinations for Leaving Certificate and Junior Certificate students will begin Monday 6th February. The total payment for these examinations is €105 per student. This includes the cost of Examination Papers, Corrections and Postage. Payments must be made prior to students sitting the Mock Examinations and must be paid by Friday 3rd February. Please note that the Mock Examination payment is not covered by a Medical Card. Examination fees are payable in the following ways…. 1. Cheque (made out to St. Mary’s CBS) / Cash payment brought to Mr Byrne. 2. Online school payment system though VSWare. 3. Various installments towards the final cost over the next 4 months to Mr Byrne. Please forward the above amount before Friday 3rd February.

6th Year Biology students are attending a revision practical day in NUI Maynooth on Mon 23 rd Jan. The fee of 40 Euro is required by Mon 24th Oct or place will go those on waiting list.
