TY students teaching Science for Fun to primary school students!

Well done to our TY students who, under the watchful eye of their teacher Mrs Sheridan, brought Science for Fun to 4th class primary students today by teaching them a topic. The theme of today's lesson was Magnetism and both sets of students certainly had fun!
Junior Cert 2017 'Other Areas of Achievement' Final Notice

Reminder for Fifth Year and TY students, who completed Junior Cert last year. Please complete the "Other Areas of Achievement" form online. This form will close at 9pm tonight. Parents please review all details before your son submits the form. Students who do not fill out the form will not have their personal achievements recorded on their Junior Cycle Certificate.

Congratulations to Padraig Finnegan who was the winner of our First Prize of a St. Jarlath’s football jersey in the App competition before the break. Kevin Roche and Cillian Reidy also won vouchers. There will be another raffle when we reach 1200 users and a prize for student no. 450 !

U16 Rugby St Jarlath's U16 rugby team qualified for the Top Oil Junior Development Cup Final after a hard fought 13-12 semi-final victory over St Enda's College. Jarlath's scores in the first half came from an Eoin Sweeney try and a conversion by Carl Ward. Two further penalties by Carl Ward in the second half stretched Jarlath's lead to 13-5. A late converted try by Enda's ensured a nervy finish but Jarlath's secured possession and kicked the ball dead. It was an excellent team performance, especially in defence as the boys hard work on the training ground came to fruition. St Jarlath's play Presentation College Athenry in the final at The Sportsground, home of Connacht Rugby, on Wednesday 14th March at 4:00 pm. All support would be greatly by the players!

Our annual ceolchoirm (concert) to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge takes place Friday 16th March. Any student who would like to perform this year please talk to Ms. Burke in the music room.
