Huge congratulations to Seán, Brendan & Jack from Rooted Solutions. They have won 1st prize at the Student Enterprise Awards at the Tower Hotel in Waterford. They will now represent Waterford in the National Final in Croke Park in May. Many thanks to Ms Heather Foley the boys Mini Company Teacher.

Our TY Angus beef group conducted a taste test in school today. They cooked two types of burgers students were asked to choose their favourite. The taste test proved that Angus was the preferred beef with its rich flavour and tenderness.
First Aid Course

TY 2 students enjoyed a first aid course all day today with Cora Fitzgerald. TY 5 will compete it on Tuesday. Medical emergencies like a heart attack or choking happen all the time and we are never sure when they will occur. Cora’s first aid course trains students in the skills necessary to recognise and provide first aid for injuries and sudden illness until medical personnel arrive and take over.
