Congratulations to TY student Tom Knowles he was one of 15 students in the country chosen from a huge number of excellent applications to participate in the Corvinus Programme at UCC from 24th to 28th February.

89 TY students went to the cinema today to watch 1917. This was organised by Mr O Brien as part of his history and politics class. Many thanks to Mr Williams and Ms McGann for also going with the students.
Angus Group visit Coolnasmear NS

Oonagh Kieran & Ciarán visited 4th class students in Coolnasmear NS today. Our 3 Angus experts presented facts and photos about the Angus. They circulated a colouring page of 2 different cows and a word search. The children then all picked a name for the cows. They all had a fun time. This is great preparation for the Certification Irish Angus Beef Competition in Croke Park. Well done.
Finance Your Future Certificates

Diane Healy EBS presented the Junior Achievement Finance Your Future certificates to T.Y.1 students today. The certs were awarded to students that attended the 6 sessions held before Christmas. Diane also brought a dozen muffins which the catering staff enjoyed.

TY1, TY2 & TY3 each had 2 hours today with Ms Moore where they did a series of tests to help them prepare to choose their 5th year subject options.

Guidance
Any 3rd year student that is going straight to 5th year in September is to meet Ms. Moore in the computer room at 9.00 tomorrow morning. The process and the application form for 5th year subject choice will be explained. Ask teachers permission before attending.
TY Career Testing

Guidance
Ty4 and TY5 are scheduled for career testing tomorrow. If students have not completed their assessments it is advised they attend school to catch up. The computer room cannot be booked again as teaching staff need to complete projects and classroom based assessment for junior cycle. Many thanks. Elaine Moore.
