As part of 2nd Year Retreat Day, our 2nd-year students will be holding a "Wear Blue Day" on Monday, 24th March to support the incredible work of Mary’s Meals.
For just €2, all students can take part by wearing blue for the day, helping to raise funds for this amazing cause. Just €22 provides a child with school lunches for an entire year, and our 2nd years are determined to raise as much as possible to support children in need.
Let’s come together as a school community, wear blue, and make a difference! #WearBlueDay #MarysMeals #MakingADifference https://www.marysmeals.ie/
We wish our whole school community a lovely St Patrick's weekend. As per our calendar, a reminder that there is no school for students on Tuesday the 18th of March. School resumes on Wednesday 19th of March.
Dear parents/ guardians,

Dear Parents/Guardians and students
We are excited to invite you to our HFSS Spring Concert on Thursday 20th March at 7pm. This annual event will showcase our wonderfully talented 6th year music class as they prepare for their Leaving Certificate practical exams. There will also be performances from some of our 3rd and 5th years music students and the school choir. We hope you can join us at this lovely event.
All welcome! This is a great chance to meet new friends, catch up with others, and support HFSS. Come along and test your general knowledge.
Thank you to the Parents' Association for their donation to the My Canine Companion Charity as a gesture of support for the fantastic benefits that dogs, like Esme, bring to school communities.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Next week, we are celebrating Diversity Week as part of the Yellow Flag Programme, a national initiative that promotes inclusion, intercultural awareness, and equality in schools. Our students and staff committee have been working together to make our school a welcoming space for all, and we are excited for a week of activities to recognize and celebrate the diversity within our community!
Here’s what’s happening:
Tutor Time Presentation – On Monday, students will engage with a themed presentation on diversity in Holy Family.
Daily Student Announcements & Games – Student representatives from the YFP Diversity Committee will visit classes each day with short announcements and fun cultural trivia.
Festival of Cultures – Wednesday – One of the highlights of the week! Students will experience a variety of cultural displays, performances, and food.
We encourage you parents and guardians to support your daughters in embracing Diversity Week by chatting with them about what they’ve learned and helping them celebrate different cultures.
As part of the Yellow Flag Programme, we are also gathering insights from our school community. Please take a few minutes to complete our Intercultural Survey here: Intercultural Survey
Thank you for your support in making Holy Family a school where everyone belongs!
Best regards,
The Yellow Flag Programme Team
