Dear parents/guardians,
Yoga club begins after midterm. The classes are on Thursdays after school and anyone who has signed up or wants to join needs to bring a mat with them.

Dear parents, guardians,
On Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th October, we will have a Spanish Subject inspection.
As part of this inspection, the Inspectorate will conduct a student focus group.
Please see attached information note and below link:
https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/d3832-guide-to-inspection
To ensure smooth running of these inspections and to minimise disruption for the Inspector and the teachers involved, no students arriving late to school will be permitted to enter their Spanish lesson after the lesson have commenced.
In order to fully support your child’s school with this inspection, please ensure that your child arrives to school on both days by 8.15am at the latest.
Thank you for your support with this matter.
Kind regards, School Office
Dear Parents/Guardians,
From Monday, October 2nd, students will not be able to collect their food from the Food Village kiosk at lunchtime unless their key tag has been linked to their online account. Students will need to have this key tag with them when collecting their food.
If your child does not have a key tag or has lost it, please ask them to collect a new one from their year coordinator on Thursday.
If you are finding it difficult to link the key tag to the account, you will find a number of tutorial videos on the help section of the app including one titled "how to add a key tag to your account".
Below you will find the Food Village-HCETSS website again for your convenience. Importantly this site has the code for our school which you will need when setting up. This code being HRDCS.

Dear parents/guardians,
As a result of an increased number of sports matches/school trips which are taking place away from the school site and the limited number of school supervisors/teachers which we have available to travel to these fixtures/trips, we are writing to you to ask if you would be interested in volunteering as a school supervisor for away day sporting fixtures/school trips.
The commitment involved would be to assist the lead teacher by supervising the students while travelling to and from the match, during the match/during the trip.
As a school we are proud to say that we have never had to cancel a sports fixture/school trip due to lack of supervisors and we are committed to offering your children a varied and dynamic sporting and extra-curricular experience here in our school. However, as the number of fixtures/trips have increased, this has become more challenging and we urgently need your help if we are to full engage with all fixtures/trips for 2023-2024.
Part of the challenge for us is that in order to send a number of teachers to supervise at sporting fixtures/school trips, it has the knock-on effect of having to cover the supervising teacher's timetabled lessons at the school with another teacher where possible.
If you are interested in supporting the school with this, please email Alex at office@hcetss.ie with your available times, we will process vetting forms for you and the we will create a pool of parent/guardian supervisors which we will occasionally call upon for support.
We really appreciate your support with this.
Kind regards,
Pádraig and Mick

Dear parents/guardians,
The countdown is on! Our 2nd and 3rd year music Let's Hear It For The 80's will be taking place from the 23rd - 25th of November in the Assumption Junior National School, Walkinstown.
Rehearsals are currently taking place every Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm - 5pm, with the exception of some rehearsals finishing slightly earlier. It is essential that all cast attend every rehearsal and inform Leonna or Amy of any absences.
You can help your child prepare for our production by running lines with them, encouraging them to practice their dance routines, and play the 80's playlist around the house!
If you would like to support our musical production, please contact Leonna or Amy at the contact details below to see how you can help us. We are always looking for 80's inspired props and costumes. Alternatively, you can donate to our production at the GoFundMe link found here:
Any and all support is greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much in advance and we look forward to seeing you!
