This Friday 22nd March, we will hold a non-uniform day to help fund the installation of a water refilling station in the school. This is in keeping with our school improvement plan and the aim to cut down on the number of plastic bottles we need to use in the school.
The Student Council are collecting a €2 contribution to fundraise for this cause and thank you for your generosity.
Good Morning

The U14 girls had the first game of the season on a very cold frosty Wednesday morning. The girls took a little while to warm up but once they did they certainly came out on top! Colaiste Muire took on a strong sided Davitt College Castlebar. However, with some great scores from many players it was a real team effort. An exciting season ahead for the girls and Ms O Malley and Ms Casey are looking forward to helping them out along the way. Well done to all invovled.
Well done to the U19 girls basketball team who travelled to Castlerea on Tuesday 9th of January to compete in the Regional quarter finals. The girls started very well taking the lead within the first few minutes and managing to hold onto the lead into the second half. Colaiste Muire started to get a little tired which led to Elphin getting on top. With Colaiste Muire down by four points and two minutes remaining on the clock it was a nail biting finish. Colaiste Muire fought hard and managed to level the game in the last few seconds to take the game to extra time. The U19 girls dug deep and came out on top with a 6 point win in the end to see them through to the Regional semi-final verus Grange in the coming weeks. Well done to all the girls for such an excellent team effort and best of luck in the next round. A special mention to the U16 girls who also came away with a win on the day. Well done to all involved!
