Kids Coder Club are hosting a Free Online “What is Computing and Coding?” talk for parents this coming Monday via Zoom at 11 am and 6 pm.. At this, they will explain what computing and coding is about., how Kids Coder Club work with their students, the programmes required, free platforms and thereafter answer questions from the online audience.
JC & LC Project Work & Coursework

The State Examinations Commission has announced an extension of the completion date for project work and coursework which was due for completion on various dates between the 20th March and the 24th April. Candidates will now have until the 15th May to complete this work.
Announcement re Oral & Practical Exams

The Minister for Education announced this morning that the Leaving Cert and Junior Cycle orals and practical exams are being cancelled – but students will be awarded full marks for them. This announcement means that all students who were due to take part in orals and practicals in the following subjects will be given full marks for this part of the exam: • Oral tests in Leaving Certificate Irish, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Japanese. • Practical performance tests in Leaving Certificate Music. • Practical performance tests in Junior Certificate Music and Home Economics. No changes were announced for the written exam in the Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP) scheduled for Wednesday May 6 or the final written examinations starting on June 3.

Update on Junior & Leaving Cert Fees

The State Examinations Commission has asked the school to pass on the following information about this year's Leaving and Junior Cert fees: "Leaving Certificate Fees: The closing date for payment of the Leaving Cert examination fee is being extended until after the exams are complete and the results have issued. Junior Certificate Fees : Students will not be required to pay an examination fees to the SEC in relation to the 2020 Junior Cycle examinations, the SEC will be issuing a refund to all students who have already paid. There is no need to contact the State Examinations Commission as refunds will be made automatically. Further details will be sent to all schools in the coming days."

Congratulations to 6th Year students Aoife Lynagh and Meadbh Quinn who have been selected to be Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl respectively for 2019/20. The selection of the girls was made by their peers in 6th Year and the school staff and we have no doubt that they will be excellent leaders within our school community. We wish the girls every success this year.
