Perhaps even more importantly the video shows the impact Preslink has had on our School community and especially on our students. We hope you will take the time to watch this short video and that you will continue to support Preslink.
Thank you.

All in Pres wish to congratulate the Munster Rugby Team on a superb win against Wasps yesterday in the Champions Cup. This was achieved with the input of many past pupils of Pres! Under the inspiring captaincy of Peter O' Mahony, three more recent PBC players - Jonathan Wren, Patrick Campbell and John Forde, all played significant roles in yesterday's win, with Patrick scoring a sensational try on his Champions Cup debut!! Two other Pres Players, Jack Kelleher and Darragh Mc Sweeney were part of the extended panel. John Hodnett is also currently teaching with us in PBC, so we were really well represented in Coventry yesterday!! All our current players can learn from these players' hard work and resilience and ought to keep in mind that just a year or two ago these Munster players were playing school rugby in PBC!! In the photo, from left to right, Peter O' Mahony, Jonathan Wren, John Forde, Patrick Campbell, Darragh Mc Sweeney and Jack Kelleher.

Preslink Leadership session with Brother Martin

On Friday last, November 12th, the TY members of Preslink had a leadership seminar in Mardyke House. We were welcomed and introduced to the seminar by Br. Simon Fernandes. After the brief introduction, Br. Martin Kenneally, Director of the LEAF Project, discussed how Preslink started and why it started. He then spoke about leadership within Preslink. We learned leadership skills to assist us throughout our Preslink journey such as, making people feel welcome when we meet them, inspiring others to share our goals, recognising that we are in some ways privileged and how we then have certain responsibilities to those less fortunate than us and of course we must be proactive as a student group. Subsequent to the discussions with Br. Martin, we had a presentation from Mr. Mick Carey, Mission Development Officer. This gave us a great insight into what happens with the money we raise. We learned about the dangers students in Ghana and Nigeria face on a regular basis, about the new schools built, feeding programmes set up and how the Presentation Brothers dealt with COVID-19. I personally found this presentation very useful because I now feel more connected with Preslink and motivated to help as much as I can. At the end, we discussed the presentation and concluded with some prayer. Overall it was a very productive day and I think everyone who attended learned some valuable skills to aid Preslink.

Our TY students took part in a half day forensic science workshop today as part of Science Week. Having first watched a video of the JFK assassination, our students forensically examined the evidence to try and solve the murder of the former American president. As part of the crime analysis our students compared fingerprints, examined ballistic evidence and handled guns, the same as those found at the crime scene. After then reading through first hand reports from eye witnesses our students had the opportunity to choose their suspect.
