Christmas Carol Service 2022

We held our very special Christmas Carol Service on Tuesday 20th December in Ballymote Church.  Congratulations to our wonderful choir and musicians on their beautiful singing and music which brought Christmas joy not only to those present but to many who joined online.  Thank you to all involved in the preparations of the service from students and teachers to members of the local community.  Thank you to Fr. James McDonagh who celebrated with us and permitted us to have the church for the afternoon.

Christmas Jumper Day in aid of St. Vincent de Paul

Our students held a Christmas Jumper Day on Monday 19th December in aid of St. Vincent de Paul.  Students raised €400 and pictured here are Maureen, representing SVP along with 6th year students Laura, Alanna and Tiernan who presented Maureen with the cheque on behalf of the school.  We hope that this donation will help some families locally over the Christmas period.

Thank you to our TY students for creating our Christmas Newsletter, which is attached. This newsletter celebrates all that is going on in our school along with the achievements of our wonderful students!

Cathaoirleach Award Nominees for Fundraising

Congratulations to our current 6th year students who were recently nominated for a 'Schools Group/Class' award with the Cathaoirleach of Sligo Co. Co.  Ms. Carty nominated the group following their efforts in fundraising for the Ukraine while they were in 5th year.  The Cathaoirleach issued a certificate of nomination to the students! Well done on your achievement!

Food Collection for St. Vincent de Paul

Our students along with Ms. McGrath and Ms. Kelly organised a food collection for the St. Vincent de Paul.  There were very generous donations made - huge thanks to all those who gave to the appeal.

We welcomed Maureen and Eithne from SVP today, Thursday 15th to meet with the students and receive the items donated.

Green School Code

Congratulations to Oisin (1st Year) who won our Green Schools: Green Code Competition! Oisin wrote his code on our Green Schools theme of Litter and Waste

'Come on everybody, let's make haste, We need to help pick up our waste! Come on, hurry, we're running out of time! Let's help our planet stay in its prime!'
