Well done to our senior basketball team who have won their final match against St Macartans of Monaghan. Having won the first two games the lads knew they were up against a strong Monaghan side in the last game. With an injured Dylan Phelan a huge loss the boys dug in to come out winners by 10 points! The boys are now in the All Ireland Schools semi final playoffs in the 'A' division. Well done to the boys and their coach Mr Duignan.

Well done to U19 lads after beating Oatlands college, Dublin 43-29. They now play St. Macartans college Monaghan. This is the final for the day and the winner will advance to all Ireland semi final

Successful day for Portlaoise CBS at Laois Schools Cross Country!

With a big turnout at the races, there were bigger success. Claiming Individual and Team medals in every race, CBS were on a winning streak! Aidan Maloney started off the day with a top 6 finish and helping the team to 3rd place. Junior boys packed well in the 2k course with a gold team medal consisting of Ben Doyle, Anthony Idris, Callum Leonard and Ben McDonald. Billy Ramsbottom ran a super race in the Inter boys claiming and individual medal. He is also elgible to run next year in this age group. And the Senior didnt upset claiming gold team position. Adam Holden ran a brilliant race to lead the team in second position. With Jack Stone and Thomás Dunne coming in together in 4th and 5th. Leigh Doyle anchoring the team home. Congrats to everyone who competed on the day!

CAT Test Permission Reminder

A reminder to any 1st, 2nd or 3rd years who missed their initial CAT assessment and received a permission letter in the post recently, to return the permission letter to the main office ASAP. It must be signed by parent/guardian along with the 30€ fee. Testing for those students will take place next week.
