A reminder of the protocols for Transition Year Work Experience
All students must keep me informed of full details of work placement... name and address and tel no plus dates of start and finish. Some students are failing to provide this important information!
Otherwise students are NOT INSURED!
Also if a student is sick , parents please inform the office here and the employer as early as possible.
I have 86 students to follow and it is very difficult to do so without the cooperation of students.
TY work experience insurance forms dated 2019 are now available outside TY office.

Next Wednesday evening, January 30th, all parents of incoming First Years are invited in to the school for an Information Evening at 7.30 pm. Since our October Open Night, places have been offered and accepted and now we are making definite plans for next September. We hope to provide you with information to help you make a few decisions in the coming weeks.
This evening will also include a meeting with the SET (Special Education Teachers) if you want to discuss your sons learning needs, If he has an SNA or if he currently receives learning support in his primary school. Special forms are being sent out with the letter about this evening to all who have accepted places. If you wish to meet with the SET, complete this form, bring any assessment or report done on your son with you (speech and language/occupational therapist, etc.) and you can meet individually with one of the teachers on the night to discuss what supports will need to be put in place for September.
This is a meeting which you cannot afford to miss and is very well attended each year. We hope we will see you all on the night.
