It is impossible to thank everyone but the group wish to express a massive thank you to everyone who helped to make this immersion possible, everyone who supported their fund raisers, anyone who have sent in donations in the past few weeks and everyone that sent their well wishes.
We look forward to seeing them in two weeks time and sharing their experience with us.

The St Mary’s CBS Under 16 footballers continued their impressive run against a highly rated Heywood side and qualified for the South Leinster final. CBS were quick off the mark with 1:1 scored in the first 3 minutes. With hard tackling from the likes of Sam Birrane and Josh Mulhall in the middle Heywood were under immense pressure early on. However, the away side settled into the game with some well kicked frees from their centre forward Brian Whelan. Both sides traded scores with CBS going in 3 points up at half time. Both sides battled hard in the early stages of the second half with some tremendous battles going on all over the field. Heywood put CBS under more pressure on the kick outs but they adapted well and sought to set up more attacks. Eventually hard work from the likes of Simon Fingleton, Conor Goode and Josh Hogan paid off and Paddy Hosey was on the end of a ball to get his and CBS’s second goal. Further scores from Goode and Dj White put some distance between the teams with CBS finishing out eventual winners on a scoreline of 5:10 to 1:10. CBS now go on the play the winners of Bagnelstown and Rathangan.

Hard luck to our U15 soccer team, who lost out AET 1-0 to Newbridge.
From the off CBS settled into the game well, creating chances and had a goal disallowed for offside in the first half.
Newbridge rallied back, and Conor Brown pulled off two very good saves to go into the second half at 0-0.
The CBS had much of the possession in the second half creating more chances - but after 70 mins the game heading to extra time at 0-0.
Extra time brought much the same with both teams fighting hard and it was Newbridge who went 1-0 halfway through the 1st half. CBS never gave up and fought right until the very end creating more chances with JJ Toman, Lee Smyth & Kieran O Donnell narrowly missing chances.
It wasn't to be with no luck going our way in the box.
The boys can be very proud of their performance, and their never give up attitude.
Big thank you to their coach Ms Lannon for all her hard work with the boys!
