The following is the travel information for the school ski trip: We are traveling with Aer Lingus. 20KG Bags Included. Leaving from the Maldron hotel(Midway) in Portlaoise at 3:30am on Friday the 13th of March, so please arrive at 3:15am so we can start loading the buses. It is essential we leave on time as there are 100 boys traveling and it will take time to get through the airport. Flight Details: 13.03.2020 – EI432 - Dublin – Milan Linate – 07.25 – 11.00 18.03.2020 – EI437 - Milan Malpensa – Dublin – 19.50 – 21.30 Also please make sure all passports are in date.

Cornmarket - Emer Dunne from Cornmarket will give a short presentation in the Staff Room at 11 am tomorrow, Wednesday. She will then be around for a few hours to discuss pensions, etc with teachers and make appointments for other days to meet with interested teachers.

All online payments and over the phone card payments to the school are disabled for the coming days. When the service is up and running again we will notify through this App. In the meantime, all payments can still be made by cash in an envelope with student name and what payment it for to the office or to the relevant teacher. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause many of you. Hopefully it will be sorted asap. M Murphy

Athletics Update Laois Schools Cross Country will take place next Wednesday Jan 15th in Emo Court. There will be a brief meeting tomorrow at 1.15pm in Ms Mulhares Room. And training will resume Friday at 1.30pm.

SOCCER SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORTS Financial / Sports Psychology / Physiotherapy / Sports Nutrition / Experienced qualified coaching / Pathway to the National league’s top flight (Link with LOI St Patrick’s Athletic FC & WNL Peamount Utd FC) / Access to the highest standard third level soccer (CUFL & IUFU WSCAI) / Access to free gym & top class playing facilities / Mentored by a former Professional / Strength & Condition / Fitness Testing UNIVERSITY ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Applicants are required to meet the normal matriculation requirements and any special course requirements. In recognition of the competition and training commitments of high performance athletes, successful soccer scholarship applicants will be credited with up to CAO 60 points (as required) to assist them get their Maynooth University course of choice. Applicants will be expected to have attained at least 300 points in their best six Leaving Certificte subjects. ELIGIBILITY Scholarships are intended for student-athletes with proven or perceived potential to perform at a high level. They are awarded to both under and postgraduate students for a period of one year, but can be renewed subject to a satisfactory level of academic and sporting progression being maintained. Application is open to all regardless of which club you are currently play for.
