Well done to both our Junior and Senior Camogie teams who had victories over St . Peter's, Dunboyne this morning. The girls skill and determination shone through in both games. The team is coached by Ms. Dowling.

A trip has been organised for 1st years to the cinema on Friday 25th Oct in the Arc Cinema in Navan. Students will go to first class for roll and then be called. We will be back for buses. Cost €17 for bus, ticket, popcorn and drink or €14 for bus and ticket . Please return in envelope clearly labelled to assembly or tutorial . Permission form on school app.

Dear Parents/Guardians/Carers, We wish to inform you that there will be a meeting at 7.00 p.m. on Thursday 24th October in the school for parents/guardians of First Years 2018/19. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss any settling in problems which may have arisen since the beginning of the school term and also to help plan for the rest of their time in Athboy Community School. The following is the proposed agenda: 1 Principal’s Address. 2 Peer Mentor Programme. (Representative of Peer Mentor Group). 3 Year Head’s Address. (Ms Mooney). 4 Transition to Post Primary Education. (Ms Susan Moran, Guidance Counsellor). 5 Curriculum. (Mr. Leavy, Principal) 6 Organisational Matters (Mr. Tom O’Dowd, Deputy Principal) 7 Questions and Answers (including Learning Support). Also on the night will be a presentation by Mr. Derek Hanway from Jigsaw on the “One Good School” project We look forward to meeting you all.

Pictured are the 5th yr LCVP students at a local business Causey Farm. Students enjoyed bread making, cheile dancing, Halloween scares and bog jumps. All followed by a very interesting talk about the business given by Matt Murtagh.
