The Senior Rugby Team had their first outing of the year today. They competed in a Blitz in Navan and as can be seen in the attached photos they put in a massive effort in all their games. Well done to all involved.

Today saw the beginning of two days of workshops, led by Paula O'Connor, that specifically address the issue of Internet Safety and Cyberbullying. All year groups will attend a two hour session with the aim of making students more aware of potential pitfalls and and making their online interactions more positive. The website www.webwise.ie/category/parents has excellent advice for parents. The event was organised by Ms.Fitzgerald.

Students from all year groups are invited to join the school choir. Practice will take place in Ms. McGowan's room this Thursday from 1600 - 1700. All students are welcome, no experience necessary.

Well done to all our JC students who received their results today. Following three years of effort and toil,by students and teachers alike, the results reflect the effort put in by all. Thanks to parents who came in and signed their proud sons/daughters out following the issue of the results.

Student Leadership
In order to raise environmental awareness in Athboy CS the Prefects decided on having a Green Wall in the GPA. They will use the Green Wall to highlight various environmental issues. Using the correct bin is the first step in recycling. The next step is to purchase a wormery to recycle food waste. Watch this space.....

Congrats to our eight 5th Year students who received their Bronze Gaisce (Presidents) award and medal today. Whilst in TY these students undertook personal challenges outside school in order to become Gaisce recipients. They are pictured with their three PALs (President Award Leaders), Mr Forde, Ms. McGrory and Ms. Moran, who guided them along the way.

Parents of 2nd Year students are requested to complete the Permission form for the upcoming Orienteering Trip. This activity is part of their son/daughter's PE CBA1. Parents can access this in the PERMISSION FORM tab half way down the main menu.
