A legacy built on passion, pride, and history. On Thursday, March 20th, at 2 PM in Virgin Media Park, our CBC Senior Rugby Team faces PBC in the Munster Schools Senior Cup Final — a fixture that has defined school rugby for generations.This is more than just a match. It’s about tradition, heart, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. The CBC vs. PBC rivalry runs deep, with decades of unforgettable battles on the pitch. Now, it’s time to write the next chapter.Every voice, every cheer, and every moment of support from the stands fuels our team. CBC is built on a spirit of unity, determination, and resilience—qualities that have shaped our rugby history. Let’s stand together and make Virgin Media Park a fortress of red, black and yellow. 

Congratulations to our 6th Class boys who received the sacrament of Confirmation today in St Patrick's Church. They are pictured here with Bishop Fintan Gavin who conferred them today. Special thanks to Bishop Fintan for his inspiring presence at today's ceremony. Thank you also to Mr McNamara for preparing the boys so well for their Confirmation today. We are very proud of all the boys.

Our Edmund Rice International Youth Ambassadors, Joshua O' Neill, Charlie Liang and Isaac Scallan-Cotter, having been spending the past few days in Geneva. They had the privilege of attending a live session of the Human Rights Council at the United Nations HQ with staff and students from Edmund Rice schools from Belfast, Limerick and Tramore. They also attended a side event from the Permanent Mission of the Holy See, where Vatican representatives discussed the need for debt forgiveness for developing countries. A trip to the Red Cross museum also provided a stark reminder of human rights violations that have, and continue to take place, around the world. Many thanks to Westcourt Centre Social Justice Desk, Cormac McArt and Edmund Rice International for organising this fantastic trip.

Congratulations to our Lego Robotics team which won the Robot Innovation prize at the finals held in UCC at the weekend. Thanks to Ms Antonia Barsi and Ms Tanya Clifford for their support throughout the competition. 

CBC are delighted to welcome back past pupils Eanna McCarthy ( Captain ), Michael Foy, ( Vice Captain ), and Conor Kennelly who played in the Six Nations U20 Competition against England last evening in Virgin Media Park. 

Congratulations to Evan Cullen who has been selected to represent the Irish U17 Ice Hockey Team for the Green Tournament in March in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA. 

Commiserations to our gallant Senior hurlers who bowed out in the Quarter Finals of this Year's competition. Sincere thanks to all for your hard work and commitment throughout the campaign. Special thanks to Mr Traolach Martin, Mr Tony Wall, Mr Ken O'Halloran, Mr Eoin O'Mahony and all who supported the team. 

We look forward to seeing our seniors in action again in the O'Callaghan Cup. 

Congratulations to Max Power, Third Year, who won Third Prize in the Biological and Ecological Sciences category of this year’s Young Scientist Exhibition for his project entitled ‘Vapes: Quantifying damage on developing systems’. 

Well done also to Cillian Ó Riordáin, Second Year, whose project ‘Extra-Curricular Activities in Post-Primary education: Fun or Forced?’ was also selected as a finalist for the Exhibition.
