On Friday, students from Scoil Mhuire joined our weekly Debating Society meeting for a lively and spirited interschool debate. The calibre of speakers from both sides was exceptionally high and we hope this to be the beginning of a great partnership with our neighbours. Well done to Matthew Hiras, Matias O'Conaill, Luke Barry, Harry Walsh, Max Power and Kevin McCarthy who competed in the next round of the Matheson National Junior Mace Competition at Belvedere College. Students debated matters of politics and curriculum and represented the school excellently. Many thanks to Ms Calvert for accompanying the boys to the event.
