Day 5 of Wellbeing Week was a busy day. Our TYs walked 14km from Mount Mellerary back to school. A huge credit to all involved. Thanks to Caroline, Dawn Flynn and Grace Herwood for organising the ceremonial burning of the worries from the worry box. Thank you to Ms O’Keeffe and her team of second years for providing the school with free smoothie samples. Our 6th year German class enjoyed some Kaffee und Kuchen with Ms Ahearne. Our 1A had great fun in Dance Class. The highlight of the day was the teacher V sixth year Gaelic Football match at lunchtime. Victory went to the teachers thanks to a late penalty conversion by Mr Cronin. An appeal has been made by the sixth years due to Mr Foley’s questionable refereeing decisions!! The day finished with a whole school Kahoot quiz. Thank you to Ms Cronin for all her work in organising this. First place went to Ms Horgan’s third year Maths, Second place went to Ms O’Sullivans fifth year Home Economics and third place went to Ms McCraith first year Irish. Prizes will be given out after the midterm. A huge thank you all staff and students for making the week so successful. Enjoy the break.
