U16 Rugby Blitz

Well done today to our U16 Rugby team who travelled to Cill Dara Rugby club for a blitz day. A team mixed with experienced players and those new to the game put in two great performances, winning our first game against Mountrath and narrowly loosing to Cill Dara in the second game. There were a few stand out performances on the day. Cian Butler won Man of the Match in the first game with two tries and team Captain Daniel Thornton tackling his way to a Man of the Match performance in the second game. Up and coming players who played fierce well on the day are Johnson T Lionde, Tommy Adayemi, Cormac Deegan and Charlie O’Dwyer. Onwards and Upwards. #fromeachhisbest Note: There is no U16 Training this Thursday after school. It will resume next Thursday Oct 21st. Senior Rugby Training tomorrow, Wednesday after school. All those interested in attending the Blitz day on Thursday must attend.

Congratulations to several CBS students who were crowned Minor B Champions on Wednesday representing Stradbally Parish Gaels. One of our own Conor Buggie captained the side to a convincing victory against Rosenallis!

Senior Rugby Blitz

Our Senior Rugby team travelled to Athy Rugby grounds today for their blitz. They played in 3 very competitive games winning two and loosing one. There were some stand out performances on the pitch with Michael Daly scoring three tries and Corey Bartley showing a brilliant display with several carries and big tackles. Stephen Delaney, Jake Darcy, Conn Dowling and Paul Flanagan also put in big performances on the day. Onwards and upwards

Registration for u15 Soccer Team Trials is Wednesday 13th October. 3rd Years sign up with Ms Lannon on the basketball courts at 12:30. 2nd Years sign up at 13:30 in RF 39. Date of trials to follow.
