BETTER OPTIONS - ONLINE FAIR FOR STUDENTS AND ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES
Free 1 day online event for students and adults with disabilities and specific learning difficulties such as dyspraxia, or with mental health conditions, exploring post-secondary school options in education in the Republic of Ireland.

Better Options 2021 will take place via Zoom from 10.30am - 4pm on Saturday, November 27th with breaks throughout the day.

Cathal O'Sullivan, a past student, came in to talk to the first years about growing up in Ireland as a gay man and coming out as gay. Cathal will be back next Wednesday to talk to our second years. Cathal's talk is part of the Stand Up Awareness Week the CBS is running next week along side the Anti-Bullying Week. Stand Up Awareness Week is a time for second-level schools in Ireland to take a stand against homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying. This week is an opportunity to take steps to make spaces safe and supportive for LGBTI+ young people ️ #standup #onekindword

The 2nd Years received a talk with past student Karl Bracken today, who completed an Undergraduate Degree in Astronomy with Space Science. He told the lads about his studies in UCD and his fascinating Masters in Space Science and Technology Astrophysics.
