The programme is free and open to everyone including parents, caregivers, healthcare professionals, teachers, special needs assistants and all those working with children and young people. Each session will be delivered over Zoom. Details of each talk and how to register can be found at the following link: midd.me/OKFV
I would be grateful if the above link details could be circulated to parents, caregivers, teachers, SNAs and anyone else in your school network who may be interested in order to spread the word. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any queries.
Thanks and Regards,

Homework Club

We have received several emails from parents requesting their sons to be registered for our Homework Club for 1st years which begins tomorrow, Monday 4th October from 4.15-5.15. Unless we receive an email asking to register we will not allow any students join the group tomorrow evening as we would not be certain that the parent/guardian was aware that they would be late or would need to be collected at 5.15. They can however, begin on Tuesday once they bring the completed Registration Form in with them.
Ms Redmond will go around to the 1st year classes tomorrow and distribute Registration Forms to interested students. As there is a maximum of 20-24 students who can be in the class, it will be on a first come first serve basis. There is no charge for this facility, but there is an agreement which all parents will have to sign up to in order for their son to be allowed remain in the class. This would be around behaviour and being collected on time. Students will not be allowed to hang around the school for a lift at 6pm, for obvious safety reasons.
We hope that this will provide a great support to the students who attend and that it will give a good start to the school year, as regards good study habits and time management. Please continue to email me this evening if you wish your son to begin tomorrow evening and you will be collecting him at 5.15.

Update on jackets and half zips in SHAWS
Created : 30 Sep 2021, 5:37 PM
Archived : 30 Nov 2021, 12:00 AM
As of today, there are plenty of school jackets in stock in SHAWS.
The remaining order of O'Neills half zips are due into the shop on October 20th.
After that date, all students will be expected to have the full PE uniform on- but ONLY on the days they have PE on their timetable.
Please ensure that you son has PE before he leaves for school wearing his PE gear. If students are found to be trying to wear PE gear when they haven't a PE class, the office will ring parents to bring in their uniform and if that can't happen, they will sit a Friday detention. It would be a deliberate action on the student's behalf to try to get away with it. If they are found out, they will take the consequences. I'm sure none of you wish to have to take uniforms into school on any morning. Thank you for your support in this matter.
