Archived : 25 Jul 2021, 12:00 AM
This is our third year to offer the 'From Each His Best Scholarships' to incoming first year students. This scholarship is based on the double criteria of the sporting success of the applicant in addition to the results of a written exam carried out in the CBS by all applicants.
Last year's winners for the current first year were Jack Fennell from Scoil Bhride Knockmay and Ciaran Donoghue of Emo NS.
The current 6th class winners are Eoghan Deegan from St Colman's National School Stradbally and Daniel Downey from Rathineska NS. Please see the two PDF's for further information and photos.
All 4 beat stiff competition from within their year group. We are delighted to have been able to increase the number of scholarships to two for each school year due to the strong interest in them and the very high academic and sporting standards which the students displayed. We look forward to a new beginning for all our students next September, after the uncertainty of the last two. I want to thank all parents and students who submitted applications, you created a very high standard.
