The Debs committee will be collecting €30 all this week from 1:30pm in Ms C. Brennan’s room. Those with an outstanding balance from before Christmas are asked to have the money in by Thursday. Please get a receipt in your school journal.

We have been invited to send a delegation to the European Youth Parliament sitting on the 24-26th January 2020.It is an opportunity to improve communication and public skills and engage with pressing issues relevant to all citizens in Europe. All outstanding money due for the L.C.V.P. interview preparation course and interview DVD recording for the L.C. examination must be paid to Miss Quinn by Thursday 23rd January as was flagged on the book list last summer. The interviews start the following Tuesday 28th January 2020. Thank you. L.G.

Laois Schools Cross Country Championships

Emo was the venue for the 2020 Laois XC Champs this year and once again the CBS did not dissapoint. Highlight of the day is newly crowned Minor Boys Champion who came from behind to sneak top podium position. Well done to Jack and his teammates won won the team event. Darragh Prendergast was also in the medals coming in 4th place and leading his team to 2nd place. And to finish the day Matthew Delaney ran a fine race to place in 6th position. Well done to all who competed and represented their school. Training continues on Monday at 4.15. It is a busy season for the athletes as they will compete this Tuesday in XC relays in Newbridge followed by South Leinsters the following Thurs in Carlow.
