Basketball Supporters Bus. Monday 3rd February in the National Basketball arena, Tallaght. All Ireland Quarter Final vs St. Malachys Belfast. Leave class at 10:40am To book your place, you must bring €5 to Mr. Ryan. Only 50 spaces available. Spaces will be given on a first come basis. Open to 1st, 2nd and 5th years. *If the team wins they will have a second game at 3pm so it will be the evening time when we return home

Spin South West are delighted to announce they are running a TY Media week from 9th - 13th March. This week long bootcamp is specifically aimed at students who are interested in pursuing a career in radio broadcasting and journalism. Over the course of the week, 10 students will be chosen from across the region to attend a series of workshops and learn about interviewing techniques, sound engineering, broadcasting law and plenty more besides. Working closely with Spin South West staff and other industry experts, this will be a hands-on experience of what preparing, presenting and producing great radio is like. At the end of the week, students will have the opportunity to make their own radio programme to be broadcast on the station. Four students in Ms. McCormack's TY film studies class, Sam Sunny, Edward Dempsey, Patrick Young and Yousif Abdelhafeez made a short film titled "The Flipside" which has been shortlisted for a prize in the "Walk in my Shoes" national competition. The film will be screened in St. Patrick's Mental Health Lecture Hall on this Friday evening. We all wish them well and say well done too .
French students of all years groups

Good morning. Today and tomorrow, Tues and Wed, we have a Department of Education Inspector in our school who will be visiting most of the French classes of all year groups. We would appreciate if all students ensured that they were fully prepared for class with all texts, copies, workbooks etc, arrived on time and were wearing their full uniform. Needless to say, they will behave as the usual gentleman they always are. Thank you.
