James introduced our students to the various steps involved in creating a composition, and explored many themes for which our student will compose, perform and record their own group composition over the coming weeks. Ms Gillson and Ms O'Connell will present to the students what TY is all about, how the Selection Process will work, how to prepare for it, the expectations placed on students to self motivate and take on new experiences, the importance of full attendance, attitude, etc.
Parents will also have the same opportunity on Wed evening, 11th March at 7 pm. Q & A sessions will follow both talks.
Applications will be distributed from Monday and must be submitted to the school office by 2 pm on Wed 18th March. After that it will be deemed LATE and not for consideration. Interviews will take place on the morning of Friday the 20th and Monday the 23rd of March. Further information on the night. As TY is a very different programme to other school years, the attendance by at least one parent/guardian on this night is vital to understanding what is expected of the student and how the support of the home is required, from the start.
