Congratulations to the class of 2019 who celebrated their graduation on Wednesday night. A crowd of over 400 teachers, family and friends gathered in the sports hall to celebrate the past 5/6 years of memories from the class of 2019’s time in the CBS.
Our MC was the one and only Liam Kinsella who kept proceeding moving throughout the night. The graduation speech was delivered by Rian O’Connell who summed up the past 5/6 Years experience in the CBS.
Our chaplain Fr Paddy celebrated the graduation with a special mass which focused firmly on ‘letting your light shine’, even in great moments of darkness, that there is always light to be found.
Victor Oladepo and Daniel Whelan sang a moving version of hallelujah supported on piano by Rory Foley and Mr Byrne, and on the base-Matthew Carroll and Mr Allen.
Ms Scully paid tribute to a number of graduates who received awards, voted on by the class of 2019. The boys year head Mr Byrne and principal Ms Murphy also imparted their final words of wisdom.
The night was round off with the graduation song ‘Go Your Own Way’ by Fleetwood Mac sang by Daniel Whelan.
Teachers gave the graduates a guard of honour to finish the night on a high!
We encourage all our 6th years to knuckle down to study over the next 10 days as they prepare for the Leaving Certificate to begin.
Always remember your school motto-‘From each, his best’.
We have shared a very few pictures for the last few day!
