St. Mary’s CBS Triumphs at the Laois Student Enterprise Finals!

The overall winners, receiving 1st prize in the Senior Category were Mooving.ie, who move forward to represent Laois in the National finals in May and they also received a cash prize. Mooving.ie is a website listing local business services relating to buying, building and/or renovating homes. Well done and best of luck to Conor and Ross Dunne.
Letsbudget.it won Best Innovation in Laois, this result means that they are through to the next round with the hope of being selected to the top 5 in Ireland. Best of luck to team let’sbudget.it - Adam Bell, Killian Walsh, Adam Reilly and Scott Byrne. 
BetterYouBooks came 3rd in the Senior Categoy, and received a cash prize. Well done lads - Sean Ryan and David Wajrak. 
We are so proud of all the groups that represented our school so well on the day. Everyone, including the judging panel, spoke so highly of all the St. Mary’s CBS finalists, a huge well done to you all. Special thanks also to Ms. Moore and Ms. Lynch for their continued efforts and support of these students each year.

Congratulations to our Meitheal leaders who were awarded their certificates at a ceremony in Carlow on Friday 7th March. It is a year since they were selected, and they have been committed to the service of the school, and in particular the first years, since then. We are very proud and lucky to have such kind, enthusiastic and capable gentlemen in our school.

Dear parents 

Can you please double check with your sons if they have had any correspondence  from the CAO. Final completion of the online HEAR and DARE forms must be done tomorrow, March 1st at 5pm.
For example anyone applying for DARE must complete section A ( Questions 1-5) on their CAO profile.

Adam Bell in TY has qualified for the All Ireland Programming Olympiad Final

Adam Bell in TY has qualified for the All Ireland Programming Olympiad Final. Adam has demonstrated incredible ability in programming to get through the first two rounds to reach the final. The final will take place in UCC this  Saturday 1st March. Best of luck Adam!
