Survey for all re: the Timing of the Oral Examinations during Easter

A chara,

The State Examinations Commission (SEC) is responsible for the administration, assessment and certification of the state certificate examinations, including the Leaving Certificate Gaeilge and Modern Foreign Languages Oral examinations. Since 2022, these examinations have taken place over the Easter holidays. The SEC is seeking to conduct a more extensive evaluation of the changed delivery timeline with all stakeholders to fully assess the impact of holding the oralexaminations at Easter.

The School of Education, at the University of Galway is conducting research on their behalf to enquire into views of the timing of these oral examinations. The research aims to capture the views of teachers, school managements, as well as candidates, parents/guardians.

This research will help to inform the SEC about the timing of these examinations.
