Second Year Trip to Carlingford - Information Notice

Information on our Overnight trip to Carlingford Adventure Centre: Date/Time: Leaving from the school on the morning of September 26th at 7:30 and returning to the school on the evening of September 27th by 19:00. Activities: Students will take part in the following activities: - Kayaking - Laser combat - High ropes course - Crystal Maze Payment: The remaining balance of €105 should be paid by Monday, September 19th. See shop on school app. What to bring: Participants are required to bring their own sleeping bag, pillow and towels. Alternatively, you can purchase a bed linen pack, at an additional cost of €5. Please note this needs to be pre-ordered today. Please email office@goatstownetss.ie to request bed linen pack. Second Year Carlingford Trip - Important Information

Please note the following in advance of our Second Year trip to Carlingford.

Time:

Students should be at the school at 7:00am on Monday. 

Medication:

If your child is on regular medication and it needs to be taken over the course of the two days you should immediately send an email to office@goatstownetss.ie , detailing the medicine he/she is to take, the time to take it and give explicit instruction and permission to the school to administer the medicine.  Clodagh Keane as First Aider will administer the medicine.

What to Bring:

- Sleeping Bag & Pillow (if bed pack not pre-ordered)
- T-shirts
- Tracksuit Tops
- Bottoms & Socks - at least one change per day.  Jeans are not suitable.
- Swimsuit: 2 pairs of Runners (one old pair for water sports)
- Rain Jacket
- Personal Toiletries
- Towel(s)
- Plastic Bag for storage of wet gear
- Water Bottle

A reminder that the Goatstown ETSS Parent & Staff Association AGM takes place tomorrow, Thursday at 19:00.  Tea/Coffee will be served from 18:45.

A reminder that the Third Year information evening for parents, guardians and carers will take place on Tuesday (September 20th) from 19:00 to 20:15 in the school hall. First Year Causey Farm Trip on Monday (19th)

First Year students are required to be at the school on Monday morning at 8:10am. The bus will leave the school at 8:30am sharp. Students are asked to: • Wear their oldest clothes and bring a complete change of their second oldest clothes with them! • Wear wellies, boots or old runners • Bring a raincoat and towel Lunch will be provided. Food Village - key tag

It is important that each student has their key tag connected to their food village account in order to collect their pre-ordered food at lunch time. We have provided your child with instructions on how to do this via Teams but we would ask that you would check this with your child again this evening to ensure they are correctly set up for food village tomorrow. To connect their key tag to their account they go to their profile in the food village app, click on Scan Collection Code and follow instructions. There is also tutorial under the Help Section, click on Tutorial ‘How to add a Key Tag to your account’ If your child is having any technical issues or does not have a key tag please ask them to call into the school office tomorrow before Tutor time.
